The A30 Cruiser tank (Challenger) was designed to add firepower to the Cromwell cruiser tank units. Unfortunately the compromises required to fit the 17-pounder anti-tank gun required the lengthening of the Cromwell and a reduction in armour thickness. The relative ease of fitting the 17-pdr to the Sherman to produce the Sherman Firefly resulted in only 200 Challengers being produced.
All models and figures come unpainted and may require assembly. As hand-finished items, minor work may be required prior to painting. Glue, paint and landscaping materials are not included with the model.
