Fokker E.III
$13.00
The Fokker E.III was the main “Eindecker” (German for single deck) type of fighter in WW1. It had a top speed of 140kmh, and was armed with a single LMG 08/15 machine gun synchronised to fire through the propellor.
The early 1916 production of the E.III allowed the formation of small specialist fighter units, the Kampfeinsitzer Kommandos (KEK). In August 1916 the first Jagdstaffein (single seat fighter squadrons) were formed using a variety of early fighter types. This included E.IIIs before they were superseded by newer types.
