M-42 Duster

The Duster was armed with two automatic 40mm M2A1 Bofors. Each gun had a maximum rate of fire of 120 rounds/minute. Additionally, it was armed with either a .30″ Browning M1919A4, or 7.62mm M60 machine gun. The US Army placed it in Reserve in the late 1950 , with three battalions being reactivated for AA defence in South Vietnam. Each battalion included four Duster batterys, a Quad .50 Cal battery and a searchlight battery. The expected air war with the North didn’t eventuate, and the Duster were used in the ground combat role.
All models and figures come unpainted and may require assembly. As hand-finished items, minor work may be required prior to painting. Any MDF bases come bare, and require painting and landscaping. Glue, paint and landscaping materials are not included with the model.
