The B534 entered Czechoslovakian service in October 1935, with 568 delivered by 1939. Early versions were armed with a pair of 7.92mm machineguns in the nose of the aircraft. Later versions were armed with four guns maunted on the sides of the fuselage. At the time of its introduction, the B534 was amongst the best of its type in the world.
The Munich Crisis in September 1938 resulted in Czechoslavakia being split, with a German-backed Slovak government being formed. The Hungarian invasion in March 1939 forced the new Slavak government to react swiftly to defend the country. Slovakia then participated with the Germans in the invasion of Poland. and again in Operation Barborossa, operating in the area of Ukraine. All models and figures come unpainted and may require assembly. As hand-finished items, minor work may be required prior to painting. Glue, paint and landscaping materials are not included with the model.
