The 222 was a German light armoured car equipped with a 2cm KwK 30 L/55 autocannon and a coaxial MG 34.
The vehicle performed well where there was an adequate road networ, such as Western Europe. It had a relatively poor off-road performance in areas lacking roads such as Russia and North Africa. It remained in service throughout World War II.
