The Type 97 Chi-Ha commenced production in 1938, being armed with the low-velocity 57mm gun. It fought the Russians at the Battles of Khalkhin Gol, where the shortcomings of its 57mm gun became obvious. It was the most numerous of Japan’s medium tanks, with over 2,000 produced.
All models and figures come unpainted and may require assembly. As hand-finished items, minor work such as sanding or filling may be required prior to painting.
