The Sd kfz 231 6-rad was a heavy armoured car based on a 6×4 truck chassis with an armoured body. The armour protected against small arms fire and shell splinters. Armament was a turret-mounted 2cm KwK 30 L/55 autocannon with a coaxial MG 13.
Manufacturing of the 6-rad finished in 1936, and by replacement by the 8-rad commenced in 1937. 6-rads were still in use in Aufklärung units from the Invasion of Poland through to the start of Operation Barbarossa.
All models and figures come unpainted and may require assembly. As hand-finished items, minor work may be required prior to painting. Any MDF bases come bare, and require painting and landscaping. Glue, paint and landscaping materials are not included with the model.
